STC Attending Design 2 Part Tradeshow

STC Will Attend Design 2 Part Tradeshow in Marlborough MA, Oct 30th and 31st.  We are excited to participating in Design 2 Part, a unique trade show designed to help American manufacturers find American clients.  We'll be exhibiting some of the unique capabilities of our highly refined technical ceramics, including MSZ, YTZP, and ZTA.  Their material toughness and high strength and corrosion resistance make them excellent choices for structural components.

Martel Appointed VT Commission on Women

We are proud to announce that St. Albans native and STC machinist Danielle Martel has been appointed to serve as a Commissioner on the Vermont Commission on Women by Vermont Speaker of the House, Shap Smith. Martel currently serves as president of the Franklin County branch of Business and Professional Women, and has worked closely with the Commission in the past, garnering attention from policy actors regarding equitable wages for women in Vermont. In addition to her employment as an STC machinist, she is pursuing degrees in both business and nursing.

STC Igniters Fight Cancer in Vermont

The STC Igniters, our relay team in the fight against cancer, are in full-fledged fundraising mode in preparation for the 2013 American Cancer Society's Franklin County Relay For Life event. The event will be held on June 22nd, 2013. The Igniters are currently 34 members strong, and are only $305 away from their $10,000 fundraising goal! Thank you to all of those in the community who have supported our fundraising events and the fight against cancer!

2013 Offshore Technology Conference

STC attended the 2013 Offshore Technology Conference (May 6th to May 9th) in Houston, TX.  Attendance at the conference reached a 30-year high of 104,800, the second highest in show history.  "We were excited to be able to come here and talk with the oil and gas industry about how our MSZ and YTZP products can help solve problems with extreme wear, highly corrosive environments, electrical resistance and high temperature situations" noted STC sales manager, Simon Doran.  "We truly feel that we offer some of the best solutions for this industry's down hole and above ground challenges."
