Quality Control (QC) Inspector

QC Inspector
The QC Inspector conducts in-process and final inspections on manufactured and purchased technical ceramic products.

Requirements: 
  1. Understanding of basic quality terms, definitions and concepts
  2. Understanding of basic statistical terms and techniques, plotting data and identifying deviated conditions
  3. Familiarity with measurement types, terminology and differing measurement scales
  4. Basic knowledge of calibration
  5. General knowledge of ASME Y14.5, working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and understanding of the x, y, z coordinate system
  6. Knowledge of testing methods
  7. Understanding of the principles of traceability
  8. Working knowledge of basic math, measurement conversions, and solving for “x”
  9. Education and/or experience or a demonstration of proficiency and approval by management
  10. Understanding of the difference between precision and accuracy
  11. Attention to detail
  12. Ability to work under pressure.
  13. High school diploma.

 

Responsibilities: 
  1. Read and interpret drawings/blueprints with an understanding of critical, major and minor characteristics
  2. Use inspection planning tools to determine sample size, collect random samples and inspect product
  3. Identify, report and segregate nonconforming materials
  4. Recognize inspection errors and resolve issues, when appropriate
  5. Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
