Kiln Set Up Technician

Kiln Set Up Technician
The Kiln Set Up Technician prepares product to be sintered in kilns and loads and unloads kilns as necessary.

Requirements: 
  • High School education or equivalent work experience
  • Attention to detail, with the ability to follow precise instructions and procedures
  • Comfort level working with computers
  • Ability to work independently, and under the pressure of deadlines

 

Responsibilities: 
  • Safely loads and unloads kilns, taking care not to chip parts.
  • Blows off parts and places them on refractory for sintering, ensuring that the proper sand, setter, and refractory is used.
  • Completes and maintains paperwork as needed for product flow and data entry.
  • Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, performing a variety of other machining operations in any one of STC’s three production locations
